22. Thomas HOLMES
Of Glenfin, married Catherine Parker of Glenfin (alive in 1849) by whom he had issue, 1 son and 4 daughters.
Studied in Glasgow and Dublin. Obtained his Surgical diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons, London, in 1831. Surgeon to the Poor Law Unions of Colesborne and later of Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England. He passed away without issue in 1845.
Mary married John King of Trimera, Letterkenny, by whom she had 2 sons and 4 daughters, one of whom, Miss Katherine Anne King, was still living in 1928 at Portstewart, Londonderry.

55. John HOLMES
Divinity student at Glasgow.
Twin brother of Robert Holmes III. Died unmarried.
Apprenticed to his brother Charles in Dublin. Qualified as Surgeon at the College of Surgeons, London, in April 1838, after which he was appointed Medical Attendant of the Cirencester Union and resided with his brother, Daniel, until Daniel's death on 23 Jan 1845, when he succeeded to his practice and continued to reside in the same house. Died unmarried.
